The US space agency NASA has announced where the new Mars rover will land in 2021
The choice fell after five years of searching for the crater Jezero, which had prevailed against 60 candidates. He is geologically very interesting – however, the landing because of numerous cliffs and rocks not easy and only thanks to new technologies possible. The remote-controlled vehicle is scheduled to launch in 2020 and search for traces of life on Mars upon arrival.
Already next Monday another Nasa robot is to land on the red planet. However, the device named „InSight“ can not roll but is stationary. It should collect data for two years.
