China continues to focus on the protection and promotion of disabled people, and has achieved great success in the meantime. This is clear from a recent annual report on the situation of disabled people in China.

The study, published by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, contains six key topics, including the overall situation, disability organizations and their health status.

According to the report, 706,000 people with disabilities received vocational training last year alone. 21,000 disabled people living in rural areas received low-interest loans. The cultural and sporting life of disabled people is more varied than before, according to the report.
